Fit Auggie is going to be awesome. Getting in shape isn't easy, and it doesn't happen in a day, or even a week. It happens in exactly one month. The month of August, to be exact! So - however you can - let's get in shape together. I'm going to be charting my progress on here, and posting some pictures and anecdotes along the way. So let's start by establishing some general rules! I'll add more later - as Jill said today, "You're just making this s--- up as you go along!" She is correct. But I don't see that as a problem! If you think of a new rule, just comment it and we'll figure this all out together.
1. A big healthy breakfast every day. Lots of fiber. Lots of protein. And a 16 oz. glass of chilled water.
2. 6 meals. Not 3 big ones, 6 small ones. Tapering in size from breakfast onward. Breakfast like a king, brunch like a queen, lunch like a prince, pre-dinner like a princess, dinner like a pauper, and post-dinner like a puppy.
3. Every meal will be equated with some sort of medieval hierarchy.
4. 7 or 8 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.
5. No beer.
6. No eating after 9 p.m.
7. No soda. No pop. No sodapop. No sodiepop either.
8. If it can be avoided, no white sugar of flour.
9. This one is optional, as I probably won't be doing it once we're on tour, but before that, I'm going to be writing down everything I eat, and figuring out the approximate calories consumed. I'll be trying to stick to around 2200.
